Exam must be taken to request a new email account and annually by all email account holders.

·        Step 1: Go to the website https://ia.signal.army.mil
·        Step 2: Click login at the top of the page and login as you would for AKO
·        Step 3: Click on "Courses" at the top of the page
·        Step 4: Click on the first class, "DoD Information Assurance"
·        Step 5: Follow the 3 Steps, and ensure you read the entire lesson before you take the exam. Make sure to take the DoD Exam. If you do not take an exam, you don't have the right certificate.
*You must get a 70 or higher to obtain a certificate*
·        Step 6: Once you have passed the exam, print the certificate and bring it in with the user agreement, and area network request form.
 


Mandated IA Training

A series of four training modules listed as "ALARACT 051/2009 Army - WNSF Training) must be completed


·        Step 1: Go to the website https://ia.signal.army.mil
·        Step 2: Click "Mandated IA Training" link in the center of the page
·        Step 3: Click top button "ALARACT 051/2009 Army - WNSF Training"
·        Step 4: READ THE DIRECTIONS, YOU WILL HAVE ERROR MESSAGES, JUST CONTINUE
·        Step 5: Complete each of the modules, each begins with "WNSF"
·        Step 6: When all modules are complete, select "IA account" link on the bottom of the page
·        Step 7: Login with your AKO login
·        Step 8: Select "Army", "Military", and "(EUSA) Eighth U.S. Army."
·        Step 9: Select the "NEW! Verify WNSF Training" link and click "Submit" for EACH of the four links, each time you will need to "Go Back To User Menu", and re-enter the "Verify WNSF Training" links.
·        Step 10: When the certificates appear in your AKO email, print them and give to your company point of contact
 


Registering on the ATC Website

Complete above steps before you complete this one.

·        Step 1: Go to the website https://atc.us.army.mil
·        Step 2: In the top right hand corner click on "register"
·        Step 3: Fill out the information.
o   For Personnel Security select IT-IV
o   For Unit Placement search the following:
- Search "2ID" and click "Go"
- Select "2ID 602 ASB" and click "Open"
- Click "Select"
o   For Regional Chief Information Office (RCIO)
- Search "2ID" and click "Go"
- Select "2nd Inf Div OSJA-Korea (Area III)" and click "Open"
- Click "Select"
·        Step 4: Click on "Register." A temporary password has been sent to your AKO email.
·        Step 5: Use temporary password and AKO username and login to the ATC website.
·        Step 6: For the questions that appear, select "General User", then "No", and finally "No."
·        Step 7: Scroll down to the bottom of your profile and click "browse" under the acceptable use policy box. Find your AUP on your computer.
·        Step 8: Put in the date you signed your AUP and click "upload."
·        Step 9: Make sure that your IA certificate date is listed under the security assurance box. If it is not, put the date in the box and click, "initial", then "add.
